Much like Hide and Seek on Counter-Strike: Source, Prop Hunt is a game of stealth and cunning. As a prop, you must replicate another prop on the map and hide before the Hunters come after you. As a hunter you must search for out of place props and kill them before the time runs out. Be careful though, damaging props that aren’t controlled by a player causes you to loose health! Here are some highlights of the game:
- Automatic team balancing system.
- Clean and logical HUD.
- Easy configuration for both dedicated and listen servers.
- Easy method for selecting what prop you want to be.
- Map reset system that cleans up the map after each round.
- Third person view for props.

Other than the site redesign I haven’t really payed close attention to this site or any of the related projects. This entry aims to update you on where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing.
Mainly, I’ve been busy with work and school. By the time I’m done with that I’m usually too exhausted to do anything else but play one of the many video games I own. When I’m done with that I watch TV and then go to bed. Rinse, wash, repeat.
Simple Admin: This is probably what I’ve been working on most lately. There a few things I’ve added/fixed since the last version. Once the changelog piles up to a nice list I’ll release 1.01.
Prop Hunt: I want to make this more fun to play over and over again, but I’m just not exactly sure how. Until I think of something you won’t see many Prop Hunt updates. In other news, Prop Hunt was mentioned in this CVG article.
HL2 Campaign: I have a lot of features I want to implement into the next major release. I’ll share some of these ideas with you here. Not all the features may see it into v1.2.
- Group togetherness - If you stray to far away from the majority of the group of players, you’ll be spawned next to them.
- Map reset - If everyone dies, the map will be reset.
- Carry over - Your health, ammo, etc will transfer between maps.
- Global stat tracking & achievements - Self explanatory.
- Difficulty levels - This is always been the core element of HL2 so I plan on adding them back into the game. I want to make it so at the beginning of HL2 each user can vote on what difficulty they want to play on. Difficulties can be easily added/removed by server admins, etc.
- Hardcore difficulty - Only one life (per map), no health indicator, etc
- Protected spawn - On top of waiting X seconds before respawning, you will not spawn if your ally is in combat or in danger.
- Leader and classes - At the beginning of the game you can vote for a player to be Gordon. He will be the only player with an HEV suit but he will need to rely on his allies to provide him with health and ammo. Classes will include rebel, civilian, medic, and support. Details on each to follow.
- Better crosshair.
CTF Quad: This wasn’t a project known to too many people. I do have the best intentions to release the map, so stay tuned for more information.
